Manners

When did it become acceptable to holler across a room to get your servers attention? Over the past several weeks this practice has seemed to increase immensely. For your information, that, along with snapping your fingers, jiggling your glass, and whistling is the best way to get your server to ignore you. Your server is not a dog nor a servant. They are not there to be at your beck and call. In most cases you are not the only customer that server is taking care of. I find it hard to believe you would behave the same way at home. How many of you have snapped your finger or yelled across the room to your spouse or parent in order to get them to bring you a drink refill or to pass the ketchup? So remember just because the dinner table is not in your home does not mean you are allowed to behave differently.
